An extraordinary day’s golf on the South Course on Thursday 13 November, with two aces being scored in the NAGC Women’s ‘Fox and Hound’ modified stableford competition.

At the par 3-12^th, Helen Silvy used her driver to not only clear the ‘Valley of Sin’ but then find the pin cut to the back of the green, for her eagle.

However celebrating her birthday in spectacular style, Louise Park holed out on the 5^th, flushing her driver the perfect distance to the pin, cut middle right.

Not content with that, Louise then finished the job at 18, carding the day’s best stableford score of 41 points, two clear of the field, but runner-up to overall winner, Kathy Smith, under the modified scoring format.
