2025 Women's A4 & Cleek 2
NAGC women pennant matches commenced Monday 24th Feb.
Week 3 & 4
Well Cleek 2 has arrived!!!
After the first 2 games we were 1 loss and 1 draw but at home it was a different story with 4 wins and a half.
A big win by Deb 6/5, Keiko 5/4, Deet and Dee 3 up and Laifong square.
So after 3 rounds we were equal second with 4 teams each on one win, one loss and one draw. Grange with 3 wins and North Haven 3 losses.
We ventured down to dusty North Haven and finished with a fantastic 4 wins and a half.
Susan bringing us in with a big 6/5, Deet, Belinda and Dee all 5 up and Deb squared.
So it is on for next week at Flagstaff Hill. We are equal second with Glenelg and guess who we play.... Glenelg!!!!!
The winner will go into the grand final against Grange the following week.
Soooooo goooooo NAGC.
Big thank you to Di Cocks who caddied for Belinda and Marlene for her fabulous support.
Our Pennant A4 squad continues to perform well.
Last week - March 17th - it was an early start to tee off at 8am at Tea Tree Gully Golf Course. We were matched against the home team.
Our team was strong with Se Young Jung, Kelly Kim, Mi Park, Louise Park and Jeong Ai Choi.
All the girls competed well and we came away the winners with 3.5 to 1.5.
This week at Thaxted Park, we played against Kooyonga.
On a windy, cool morning we were all surprised by the run on the fairways and the speed of the greens.
Once again - the team was victorious 3.5 to 1.5.
Our team this week was, Se Young Jung, Caroline Coleman, Mi Park, Sarah Russell and Wendy O'Connor.
Our game next week is very important - if we are to make the final.
We will be playing against Blackwood on our own course at North Adelaide. Hopefully it brings us some luck.

Week 2
Our A4 team had the bye this week, giving them not the ideal start to the season with no matches next week for the long weekend.
Cleek 2 came up against Grange on the temporary Glenelg course. With only 17 holes in play on the day, it proved to be quite a confusing day.
The team fought hard all day, in the end going down 3/2 with one win, two squared matches and two losses. The team consisted of Belinda Smith, Laifong Cheong, Eunjin Park, Susan Bywaters and Deb Decelis.

A4 Round 1
Today we played at Blackwood Golf Club - against Thaxted Park.
Beautiful weather, fabulous course conditions and friendly opponents.
Our golf however didn't quite measure up.
We went down 4.5 to .5 .....although most of our matches were very close.
Our team consisted of Se Young Jung, Jeong-ae Choi, Wendy O'Connor, Threetip Wongsala and Louise Park.
Cleek 2 team consisting of Deet Carmody, Belinda Smith, Eunjin Park, Susan Bywaters and Keiko Aboutaleb took on the Vines team on the Vines course. The players teed off early in perfect conditions. Going down to the wire, Deet Carmody managed to hold on to square the last hole resulting in a squared match. Although not a win, a square is a great start for the season.
