New Local Rule - GUR relief from coring works.
A new Local Rule is in force allowing relief to be taken from coring on the fairways and where cores have been piled around the course.
The Match Committee has considered that the renovation works recently undertaken by course ground staff have affected playing conditions sufficiently enough to require this Rule.
The ground staff have also sown grass seeds around several greens.
These freshly-seeded areas have white lines painted around them and are considered GUR (Ground Under Repair), which are no-play zones.
If you ball is in one of these areas, you must move it to the nearest point of relief, and then drop within one club length of the point of relief.
If you have any questions, please contact the Match Committee members: Susan Bywaters, Ian George, Kerry Wakelin or John Samaras.
For a clear demonstation of how relief is to be taken, please refer to the USGA instruction video posted recently on the NAGC Facebook site.
