The Match Committee has declared the following new Local Rule will be enacted from Thursday 5 March 2026 until further notice. 

If a player's ball comes to rest on an area of the fairway in play that is devoid of grass, the player may consider the lie as GUR and take Free Relief (Rule 16.1b).
