COVID-19 Alert

After review by Club President Peter Sahb and the Secretary/Manager Bob Naffin, in our duty of care to members & guests, the following information concerns COVID-19 and The North Adelaide Golf Club's stance to the situation.

The Club is regularly monitoring the Australian Government's information and advice on COVID-19. Up-to-date information can be found at https://www.health.gov.au/news/health-alerts/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-health-alert.  This information is updated regularly and anyone who is concerned should check this site for the most current information.

Members, guests, and any other visitors to NAGC who have recently travelled to higher or moderate risk areas for COVID-19 must follow the Australian Government's guidance.  As at 11 March 2020, the Australian Government considers:

  • mainland China, Iran, Italy and the Republic of Korea to be countries at higher risk; and
  • Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore and Thailand to be countries at moderate risk.

If you have returned from mainland China or Iran, you should isolate yourself for 14 days after leaving mainland China or Iran and must not enter the Club including use of any facilities in the clubroom and member’s locker rooms.

If you have returned from the Republic of Korea on or after 5 March 2020, you must isolate yourself for 14 days after leaving the Republic of Korea and must not enter the Club including use of any facilities.

If you have left or transited through Italy on or after 11 March 2020, you must isolate yourself for 14 days after leaving Italy and must not enter the Club including use of any facilities.

If you have travelled to Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore or Thailand monitor your health for 14 days after leaving that country.  If you develop a fever or a cough, seek medical advice urgently and isolate yourself, including not entering the Club or using any club facilities.

With the cooperation of the North Adelaide Golf Course, hand sanitisers will be made available at the registration desk and scores kiosk for your use. We also recommend suspending the practice of shaking hands at the conclusion of golf and ask all players who are not feeling well to withdraw from competitions.
